Get set to Thrive.


How can you get more of that “I can take on the world” feeling? Researchers describe thriving as having a sense that you’re growing and developing, feeling good about yourself and your life, being good at something, and feeling a sense of mastery. Factors that can help you thrive include having some or all of the following: a proactive personality, resilience, a strong social network, a spiritual or religious practice, a commitment to learning, and internal motivation. Being in an environment in which the challenges match your capabilities, and feeling supported by employers and colleagues, are also helpful. Don’t forget factors such as daily habits that keep you feeling healthy and energetic, like regular exercise and nourishing meals. Follow good sleep habits, too.
